On Saturday, November 20, 2010, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Nehemiah Ministries, Inc., and the Phoenix Arts Project will host its 5th Annual Phoenix Art Show and Sale The show will be a grand finale of the Phoenix Arts Project in its current form, the success of which is birthing a greater vision for a larger arts and culture program with a permanent presence in the heart of the City, The Pulse Art Space.
This year’s show will display over 80 new works of art from artists, Leonor Rivera, Migdalia Vasquez, Caren McKenzie, Georgianna Lazarus, Jennifer Perrin, Sharon Johnson, Wilfredo DeJesus, and others. Live performances beginning at 3:00 p.m., will include spoken word from the Renaissance Poets, the Sci-Tech Drum Ensemble, and neo-soul artist, Bashiri Asad. The free, one-day show will also feature handcrafted gifts from local crafters and the Pulse café serving snacks, beverages, and dinner. Tours of The Pulse Art Studio (phase 1 of the larger art space vision) will be ongoing throughout the day, with shuttles leaving from Christ Church Cathedral. Crafters can reserve an event table for $15.
